Janie’s Stir Fry Recipe

2 pounds sirloin or london broil cut into strips

3 fresh Garlic cloves pressed and diced

3 Tablespoons Onion diced

2 Tablespoons Green onion

1/3 cup Cilantro

Sprinkle of Salt

1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper

1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (optional)

1/2 Teaspoon Granulated Garlic

1/4 Teaspoon Granulated Ginger

1/4 cup Rice Vinegar

1/3 cup Oyster Sauce

1/3 cup Cooking Sherry

1/2 cup Soy Sauce (I use the Less Sodium one)

1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar

1/4 cup Orange Juice

1/3 cup Water

1 Teaspoon Cornstarch mixed with water

1 package frozen Stir Fry Vegetables

Or Fresh Vegetables

In a 12 inch skillet on medium heat add 1/3 cup water and 2 pounds of meat strips. Liberally sprinkle salt over meat, then add black pepper, granulated garlic, granulated ginger, cayenne pepper, (optional) and mix. Cover and let cook for aruond 5 minutes. Meat will be rare at this point.  Stir and then add fresh ingredients, cilantro, garlic, green onion, yellow onion,  and mix. Then add your sauces, vinegar, cooking sherry, oyster sauce, soy sauce and mix. Last add orange juice and brown sugar. Mix well and then cover on meadium  high heat for another 5 minutes then slowly add cornstarch mix while stirring. Cover for another couple of minutes. Sauce will thicken and meat will be brown. Then add frozen vegetables and mix well. Cover for 3 to five minutes. Vegetables will soften and meat sauce will be thickened. Serve with white rice.

If you want to use fresh vegetables then you have to add then right after  you add the cilantro and green onion, then add your sauces. Fresh vegetables take longer to soften.

My family loves this recipe. I made it at least  once a week.
